Default Another sign of bad news for HD-DUD?

I have been watching (MSFT) Microsoft stock for the last 10 minutes and it has gone from being down .82 to down over a $1 for the day. This in all of 10 minutes. I think some inside info is starting to leak!

well, that doesn't mean much. very few stocks are up this week, what with the unemployment numbers being what they are.

trend financial stocks in the past week. they've been choking on some really shnasty smegma-y stuff recently.

nothing to do with hi def media. the market in general tanked today near the end. sony's stock did the same thing (though it did better than ms on the day). MS dropping at the end of the day was just it going with the market flow.

Didn't the investors get the memo?

Microsoft is in no way involved with HD DVD, never has been, never will be, their only interest is digital downloads, they excrete on the physical media. And they have legions of loyal fans on AVS, HDD and elsewhere ready to swear by that on their lives.

So why should their stock go down the way of HD DVD.

Microsoft announced today that they were purchasing a business-oriented search company from Scandanavia for $1+ billion. When company A purchases company B at a premium price, company A's stock always immediately drops and company B's stock increases.

I don't think anyone needs to be concerned about Microsoft's stock taking a total dive anytime soon. Microsoft's stock is considered blue chip.
