Maybe it's just me but it sure seems like there has been a lot of crap titles that the studios have released on Blu-ray. Don't get me wrong, there are still a lot of good titles and I own a quite a few but do we really need to see titles like Mr. Beans Holiday, Underdog or even Daddy Day Camp! These movies are targeted at kids who more than likely don't own a Blu-ray player or could give a rip about video or sound quality. I just can't even imagine what bone heads make these decisions.....hmm lets see should we release Underdog or Bad Boys? I know there's more to it than that but seriously half the titles are kids movies or old movies that are mediocre at best. Where's Batman Begins, National Treasure or even Ronin? ...... oh wait I forgot...the stuidos marketing departments seemed to think that Norbit, Happily N'Ever After or Out for Justice were what all of us Videophiles wanted? right? I don't know maybe it's just me.....

I think its just you; of course kids arent the main buyers, but many of the buyers have kids, and why wouldnt they want to pick up titles for their kids also...!? Im sure there are several fathers in here, who'd given the choice would rather get their kids a movie on bd than normal dvd!? it still counts as one in the collection, you support blu ray, plus you get to share a bd with your kids - family time...
BDA has to get as many people on board as possible, and that means everyone; no matter if they're kids, teens, grown up, punks, goths.. theres gotta be something for everyone.. Batman Begins, National Treasure -will surely come in time Ronin - is available!? Norbit, Happily N'Ever After or Out for Justice - are movies that launched in the cinema after the BD's starting selling, so theyre automatically launched on BD.. |

Ronin is already out on Blu-ray. National Treasure will be release in the summer (2008) Batman Begins should be release this year, mostly likely before The Dark Knight hits the cinema. Mr. Beans Holiday is not on Blu-ray (US) so we don’t have to worry about it. ![]() The other titles (Underdog, Daddy Day Camp, Norbit, Happily N’Ever, etc…) are movies that launched in the cinema after Blu-ray's launch, so they’re release at the same time (or about the same time) with the DVD release.
