"The question is, how more black can you get, and the answer is none more black." Does anyone know where that is from? It is undoubtedly pointless to get the black vinyl, but it would keep the system from getting messed up. Hell I'm sure someone will get it though.

Yes but If your going to buy a PS3 you would buy the colour you want in the first place. Its like the pro 360 with 120GB hdd and the elite, theres only a difference in colour. (To be honest now there including a HDMI port on the pro and arcade its kinda pointless buying the elite for anything othe than colour. I mean c'mon microsoft you could have at least got built in WiFi)

3 words...whats...the...point? Why would you buy a black case if you already have somthin' thats already the same colour. I'd laugh if it was the only colour, just like the time when Henry Ford when selling the Model T said this line "you can have it in any colour, just as long as its black".

I suppose the only people that this could market to are those that got their PS3s professionally color changed. There was a site posted on here about a month ago on that topic

Wow... agreed... the most pointless accessory ever. I guess is people don't like the Piano finish or something..

I myself have a Samsung that matches my PS3 to a T. And got a piano black TV stand... not all this has inspired me to buy piano black Yamaha speakers.

I'm still trying to figure out why people put those big-ass stickers on the back windows of their pickup trucks.

The ones that weird me out the most are those things that look like the head of a fox, with a porcupine stuck inside each cheek. Pretty grotesque.

There's other ones...I guess the dumbest are the ones with the kid urinating on something they don't like (Ford or Chevy logos, or the classic one, that had him taking a whiz on "La Migra"...wonder how long it took him to get back after a weekend in Tijuana with that thing).

There's even one I saw, said "Kiss My Ass" in big block letters in the middle of the window, then on either side, "Mike" on the driver side, and "Sandra" on the passenger side, in this cute curlicue script.

After seeing all that, if some guy makes a fortune selling condoms for PS3's, I just can't be shocked about it.

It makes complete sence. maybe you imported a ps3 from japan at launch, and the only reasonably priced one you could find was white.

...maybe you dont like white because everything in your home theater is black?

or maybe in a few months when the white one is released here, sombody will - for whatever reason - only have a chance to get a white one. maybe HE wants black as well....

Maybe the persons current PS3 was dropped (cough-me-cough) and doesnt wanna send it to sony... maybe HE wants a new black cover?
Or maybe his current cover was scratched by a cat, goldfish, dog, or gorilla... gotta get a new case.

Somtimes you need a new case for the ps3. ...and somtimes you want black.

I win!

Just took a good look at the picture. I thought it was a new, exact replica, of the standard PS3 case. sorry!
but yes, thats stupid and useless. xD
