Rant: Who is sick of pointless threads in this Website

Just wanted to get this out and see other peoples opinions.

When I first discovered this site, I felt that it was a very good site with lot of helpful discussion on the format war (thankfully that's over), best prices of BD's where, knowledge discussion on the differences on PQ and SQ, etc. But now I see that there are like 20 threads that viewable from the homepage and half of them are Best Picture of All Time, Best Director, Best Actor, Top 5 Films of all Time with Poll and all the picture are current blockbuster hits, and other eye catching threads but with no real value to BD discussion overall. I understand that this site is 100% BD-only but is anyone out there tired of clicking on these types of interesting threads only to be let down by posters posts about who is better Stanley Kubrick or Michael Bay ?

See I just posted another of these useless posts and I'm sick of them.
