![]() ![]() Now I personally don't care about Turistas the movie, but what I do care about is Fox's commitment to Blu-ray. According to good ol' rdjam, it's coming out on HD-DVD: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hp?p=9790007&& What about March of the Penguins, also, oddly, in March? Happy Feet? Turistas? Then "The Good Shepherd", on April 3rd? A couple of weeks later we have The Game, then Payback and unconfirmed reports of The Matrix bunch as well, not to mention Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And Babel is out just one week from now, also. I'll take all of those over Eragon or Rocky Balboa, anyday. Turistas was released by Fox Atomic... please say it's not going to HD-DVD because isn't that a sign of becoming "format neutral"? EDIT: I only bothered posting this as rdjam made a couple of posts on turistas and he seemed so damn sure of himself that I did some checking around to see if Turistas has a seperate dvd distributor and... it doesn't. It is Fox and only the blu-ray has been announced of course. Rdjam is probably confusing this with Feast... but why correct yourself when you can further confuse the hd-dvd deluded that they have more studio support than they really do? EDIT #2: So someone pointed out to rdjam that it was a Fox title and he seemed to have forgot that and backed down. So a completely pointless thread and I apologize for wasting bandwith... can I delete this post? Last edited by Jack Torrance; 02-16-2007 at 08:51 AM. |

Why would Fox bother to release on a dying format. They are fully committed to Blu and with millions of Playstations still to come the margin of defeat will increase. Its what around 3 to 1 now and by Xmas 10 to one or more. Hd has no upside . Blu will continue to steam roll its way to victory with Universal the last piece of the puzzle going neutral

Fox Pathe Europa has announced a few titles they will be releasing on HD DVD in Europe, like Alexader (Alexandre) where they have distribution right.
You won't see any MGM titles, as they do them themselves, but you will see Fox's titles on HD DVD in France. http://www.amazon.fr/Alexandre-HD-DV...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd Quote:
