+1 for a new or follow up for The Thing I am a huge fan of the John Carpenter vers. although the first one (The thing from another world?) wasn't bad.

Just for clarification, we are talking about the alien movie not the silly movie about a guy that gets taken over by some kind of plant life?

Understandable...still, why not some moderately known town to squash? Pierre is the capital of South Dakota.

Well, they could take out Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain and Rapid City in the process.

I was wondering about Tarzan...seemed like an easy remake. Also, thought about Treasure Island, but only found 33 for it.

The difficulty there is that some of those titles are different episodes, not "re-makes" per se.

There was a planned sequel I believe that Sci-fi Channel was working on, but was then scrapped, which if the sci-fi channel had anything to do with, I am really glad it was scrapped. But I do believe that a remake is on the cards, although I don't know who is planning to do this.
