The Thing is one of my all time favorites. I wish someone would make a follow up movie on this.

The difficulty there is that some of those titles are different episodes, not "re-makes" per se.

There was a planned sequel I believe that Sci-fi Channel was working on, but was then scrapped, which if the sci-fi channel had anything to do with, I am really glad it was scrapped. But I do believe that a remake is on the cards, although I don't know who is planning to do this.
