Is it bad that even if i were buying both, which im not, I would buy the seperate releases because they don't have as bad as cover art as the two pack XD

No. Not at all. I like the single package for Pocahontas. It's simple and elegant. It's basically the Gold Collection DVD art repurposed, but hey.

Nope. I'd do the same.

Drew Struzan's posters fill space with varying character sizes and no one complains about those. My only beef with the cover is that John Smith really should be on it instead of another Pocahontas. They very obviously just repurposed the excellent VHS cover from the original release:

Since a 2-Movie Collection is pretty much guaranteed for us at this point, I wonder what that means for Pocahontas' laserdisc/10th Anniversary Edition bonus features. If those got dropped (which they shouldn't considering how little space SD video takes up), I'll probably throw out the inevitable DVD copies included and replace those with my 10th Anniversay discs.

I guess this also means every non-Diamond animated classic will be packaged with its sequel, which would mean the following:

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh/??? (Pooh's Grand Adventure? The new Winnie the Pooh film? I'm hoping for the former)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame/The Hunchback of Notre Dame II
Mulan/Mulan II
Tarzan/Tarzan II
The Emperor's New Groove/Kronk's New Groove
Atlantis: The Lost Empire/Atlantis II: Milo's Return (though this was a cancelled TV series, and since the similar Belle's Magical World didn't get a BD release...)
Lilo & Stitch/Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch
Brother Bear/Brother Bear II

I think the only exception would be Aladdin since that had two sequels, and while I see Disney offering a three-movie collection ala Lion King, I can't see them making that the sole release for the original.

A lot of people are surely going to cry foul over all that, but it doesn't bother me. So long as video, audio, and supplements aren't affected, I don't care if a glorified bonus feature is thrown in and given placement on the cover artwork.
I'm pretty certain these will have special features included.

yeah, since we have confirmation that the films are on separate discs, there should be plenty of extra space for special features.

Oh, really? I didn't realize they'd be on separate discs. I figured they'd be on the same one ala Fox and the Hound. That's certainly good news.

I thought it was great they added that in for the special edition though I love the pop / single version of the song more by Jon Secada & Shanice. 90's nostalgia right there.

I'm expecting all the classic DVD features to be in it. Won't have to keep switching between discs now to watch Colors of the Wind and the other!

We have no such confirmation. The fact that some countries have stand-alone releases does not confirm that the 2-movie collection is not single disc. They may have simply split the content on the blu-ray disc. The U.K. for example is getting The Fox and The Hound blu-rays separately.

Hmmm I can't remember, probably dvdizzy, but looking there it wasn't confirmed. But other countries (like Germany) seems to be getting standalone nonetheless

Australia is getting standalone DVD editions AND 2 movie collection editions. Shame blu-rays don't get the same treatment, probably because it's considered a niche market (animation on blu-ray ><).

or probably cause they can put 2 movies on one disc without compromising quality?
I know about the standalone releases on other countries (I provided the info about Greece's releases - Fox and the Hound 1 being one of them)

I have a feeling were going 2 get a US release date soon, because i checked the release calender 3 times today, because, first the only april movie on there list was removed, than they were having technical difficulties usually meaning they were updating there list and now its back, so my assumption is that the march april releases are going 2 be updated this week.

I don't mind the sequels being included, but I just wish they wouldn't plaster it all over the cover like Fox & The Hound! They should have just had a little bubble in the bottom corner that says "Bonus: Fox & The Hound 2!!" or something.

Probably want to make sure people know they're getting both films and not just one or the other.

Heres a fancover of the blu-ray cover I did on Photoshop
used the original blu-ray cover, and edited out the guy standing on the bottom right, and had extended the left side for the vertical logo

That actually looks really good. Too bad it is not going to be a Diamond Edition. That's some great work. Disney should hire you to do some cover art for them. I am not pulling your leg either.
