I have no intentions of buying this movie! It's great movie and is supposed to be an excellent transfer. I however intend to get one of the 20,000 free Blu-ray disc's with the PS3 in Aus(or is that one very expensive movie and a cheap PS3?) I have not voted as the poll does not cover my circumstances. I partly agree with Scorxpion, this really going to hurt HD-DVD, but I think it will take a bit more to end HD-DVD.

The battle has not been won in Australia, there is no battle on either side. You could hardly call 16 Blu-ray movies released last November (and none since) as a battle, sure there have been NO HD-DVD disc's offically released yet, or if they have been reccently released it's been done in secret. Hopefully the PS3 may get Blu-ray moving.

It seems the battle is just starting! For the Herald Sun not to be so anti HD-DVD is cause for concern. This is a tabloid paper exhibiting all traits of tabloid, it's a Murdock paper - for those in the US that means Fox.

Plus the idea that HD-DVD has exclusive porn support is wrong.

Here I think we disagree a bit...
I think the goal shouldn't to "end" anything, the goal should be to get all the available movies in the BD format. Once that happens, HD-DVD will become superfluous, just another footnote in history, an AV experiment which tried and failed. If the fanbois and microsoft sycophants want to keep pouring money down a pipe supporting their dying formate and its crappy garbage codec, they are more than welcome. As long as I can get Serenity and the rest of Universal's releases on BD, I could care less what happens to them. And, yes, I will be picking up CR ![]() Edit: I have NOT got it on pre-order, if you pre-order it, it ships on or about the release date, I plan on driving to Frys on the release date to get it as soon as possible |

I had it on pre-order as soon as it was posted here.
Side note, I have found that I only get the 10% when I use the same computer and the same broswer that I used when I qualified for the discount. It seems that the discount is a cookie. So if you have having issues make sure you are using the same pc that you did when you got the discount. |

First off, HELL YEAH on Casino Royale... what a great movie. Secondly, as far as BD and Hd-dud goes, I read the article that Universal is planning this barrage of releases (most of which I wasn't impressed with)... I think one thing that could really help Blu-ray would be if some of "our" exclusive studios released a whole bunch of movies that we didn't know were coming... flood the market with quality releases from Sony, Fox, Disney etc... No more easing into it or tiptoeing around... just BAM ... a shitload of great movies on BD... now who's retarded?
