Anyone know what's missing in the U.S. release?

Apparently it is 22 seconds of more graphic footage extra across two fight scenes. The fight in the bathroom in chapter one is 3 seconds longer and the one in the stairwell has an additional 19 seconds.

I heard the unrated mr and mrs smith actually CUT footage relevant to the plot while adding some steamy footage as well as other footage. So I prefer the R-rated one but I've never seen the unrated.

I believe the director's cut of Mr. & Mrs. Smith is only available in France on Blu-ray.

I just bought the unrated Mr & Mrs Smith from Amazon.fr

I'm not aware of any cut footage.

It is the same as the uncut DVD here in the U.S.

It has added footage but no cut footage that I'm aware of.

The uncut version is the way to go on this one. It actually makes it a better movie.

If I remember correctly it adds in about 9 minutes of footage.

The PQ & DTS-HD MA track is top notch. Sold my U.S. version.

I've been thinking of ordering the uncut Casino Royale but I'm having a hard time justifying 22 seconds of added footage for $30 shipped from Australia.

i got my casino royale from xploitedcinema.com. Not sure if they still have any in stock. Otherwise check chaosmusic.com.

If you're familiar with the ordering process on amazon.com, it's pretty straightforward on all of its sister sites as well.

Otherwise, try babelfish.yahoo.com for a decent automated translation from French to English.

The movie is region-free, but the extras are PAL. It may be worth holding onto your U.S. disc if you have it and want to revisit the extras.
