Something weird with my PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I went to fire up my PS3 today and something wierd happend today. I fired my PS3 and everything reset like I had just hooked up my PS3.

I had to go through the setup again:

1. Do I want HDMI to accept both audio and video: yes
2. I had to set up that I wanted 720p (V) and PCM (A)

This is not a hardship by any means but talk about a heart attack for but all is well.

Note to moderators

Yes I know I have exactly the same post in two different sections but please don't erase either of them. I feel this post belongs in both sections since I use the PS3 for movies and games. Plus I will have more of a shot of some one knowing what went wrong

Do a hard reset by pressing and holding the power button for about 5-8 second. You should hear about 2-3 beeps.

Edit: Your PS3 machine will autodetect itself. Just my 2 cent

It will always do that if you do a hard reset... meaning you held down power button for at least 3 seconds. If that's the case, then your problem is solved. If it's not, we won't be able to help without more information.

If the PS3 experienced a power interuption, this can also occur.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

When I fired mine up today, something weird happened to mine too...
