True, although it was Amazon that chose the carriers, and it's Amazon that guarantees the items regardless of who ships them.

That said, I'm almost positive that there's much much more to this story than is being told, like the OP constantly being pissy with Amazon Customer Service on the phone, etc.

Too many people treat these movies like they are priceless artifacts. They go over the packaging like it's a fine diamond. One crease in the precious slip cover and it's returned.

A little dose of reality is a good thing. When you order something online and it's shipped slight damage to a piece of cardboard covering the plastic case may be incurred, LOL.

I'm not aiming this at the OP, I have no idea what he returned, but like another poster stated, he probably should have alerted the delivery company instead of returning everything.

My opinion is WAY in the minority here, I know. I admit I don't know all the details either. But having been a member here for some time and seeing the level of obsession people fall into, that's the impression I get.
My thinking as well. Been buying movies since the 80's with VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and now Blu-ray. I never was a forum guy until I join here for fun in 2008 and I never knew how "serious" some people can be over stuff until I started reading some of the posts in the forum. I am not saying accept every crap that come's to you but I do know some people here go way overboard on certain things.

Corner of a slipcover has a ding, corner of a digibook has a crease, shrink wrap is torn, etc, and people say "I won't accept this".

This is what happens when you're overly sensitive to the packaging, yet want to save money and place orders from your couch.

This. Amazon is pretty damn lenient when it comes to returns, etc. To have them shut down your account makes me think you were abusing their return policy by sending everything back and demanding refunds on things that were probably just fine.

You want to know a dirty little secret of retail? The customer is NOT always right. And I'm glad when companies stop taking abuse and put self-entitled consumers in their place.

Like others have said, if you had a problem with the delivery companies, that's not Amazon and you should have taken up your issues with them directly.

Also, in regards to your statement that they never put things in your mailbox - the only courier that is actually allowed to deliver to your mailbox is the Unites States Postal Service. UPS, FedEx, etc aren't supposed to leave anything there.

I would never order a TV or any other kind of appliance for that matter through Amazon. That's just silly. lol Stuff like that, I would rather just go to an actual retail store and get it myself. I know I may pay a little more, but at least I know what I would be getting and wouldn't have to worry about it getting damaged during shipment.

exactly, the same with all those "stories" floating around the net about amazon banning them. they almost ALWAYS end up finding out after 10 million pages of *****ing that the guy returned 30 items instead of the original 3 he says he did.

I've never heard of anyone getting banned from Amazon until now. I don't blame them for banning the OP because they're hurting their business. I would've done the exact same thing.

Or maybe, just maybe, the OP shouldn't have been so anal when it came to "damaged" items. I mean unless, the item, such as a piece of electronics equipment was totally damaged or destroyed to the point of non-operation, I wouldn't bother with a return/refund. Slight slipcover damage on a DVD/BD is NOT what I would consider "damage" enough to return an item. And then even if the keepcase is cracked or broken, and was really anal about that, I would just buy a pack of blank cases and replace when necessary. I've done that many of times with CDs that I get with broken disc hubs or busted out cases. It's no frackin' biggie.

The moral of the story, is just quit being an ass. It's not Amazon's fault that your stuff arrives "damaged"...it's the shippers. I mean, it's like people in restaurants who constantly make it a habbit of returning food because it isn't cooked quite to their liking. The world doesn't revolve around you. You just have to accept that shit happens. Find other methods of dealing with your "damaged" items, and quit bothering the distributor.

How is it amazons fault if your carrier throws your orders on your doorstep? Common sense says complain to the carrier and don't believe them when they say "complain to amazon"...

I stopped ordering comic book trade paperbacks from Amazon, because Amazon kept sending me damaged ones and I was afraid too many returns would get me banned.

Nope, I had a correct Beatles In Mono that I bought when it was first released but I was robbed so I went to replace it. This one had the discs in stereo and instead of having 28 tracks for Help! and Rubber Soul it just had the 14 stereo. Plus "McCartney" was misspelled on the Revolver disc. There were other mistakes and it just seemed cheap.
