Just do a "LOT OF..." DVDs auction on Ebay.

Like "Lot of 20 DVDs"... those package deals usually go for a good buck.

Or do what I do. One at a time, start bidding at 1 cent, charge $2.99 to $3.99 for shipping and handling.

I usually do well with this method.

Well if you are willing to donate your DVDs to a great cause, you can donate them to our servicemen and women in Iraq. There is a website called Packages from Home. One of the items our servicemen and women would like are DVD movies. I have brought them items over the last couple of years. Of course they are in my local area, Phoenix, Az. But unless you want to sell them, I can't think of a better thing you can do. Here is the website.

I just thought I would mention it. I think it's a great idea to support our troops that are putting their life on the line!

I've heard of some people donating them to various charities or giving them to the local hospital for use.

1) Email to coworkers in a company of 50 people. Ask $5 cash and always get it unless the movie is an odd-ball title.

2) Sell to BlockBuster for $3 to $5 store credit.

3) Ebay as a last resort. Usually get only $3 bucks but I build up my ratings.

For anyone who has done this, where do you guys turn to to sell your DVDs? I've tried Craigslist, but they are not selling even at 2-3 bucks a pop. Thanks for any advice!
Ill just give away to family members and friends.Why sell them to much work for me man.Just open a free store for my family and friends :}

I sold my DVD's to co-workers for the measly price of $2 each... I offered them at $1 but they felt guilty that they were ripping me off, so they gave me $2.

Since you can only get $3 or so for them I figure just keep them and then you can lend them out to friends and family so they dont have to bother buying or renting.

The only thing I do sell is TV series as I buy them on BD. But for movies I just keep them.

I had great success selling off my DVDs on Ebay two years ago. I successfully sold off over 1200 titles.

Unless you are well familiar w/ your company's email policies, I would skip #1 (if it was like a "mass" email or something), unless it was just to "friends"....at my work they are a bit anal about those things (sometimes for the right reasons)

That's a great f$%^ing idea. I was giving them to my bro (who just had a kid & is a little strapped for $$$), but I would totally donate to our troops instead, as I replace my stuff w/BR.

I used secondspin.com. You can check all your DVD's trade-in values on their website. Use the "bulk" method and just type in all the UPC #'s. They even partially reimburse you for shipping costs.

When it is available (not currently) I have heard good things about dvdplanets system. They used to offer more for the titles than other places. The only bad thing is they dont riemburse you for shipping and its only for store credit. The good thing though is that the prices there are not bad and twice a year they have 20% sales which you can use your store credit on.

I have a number of DVDs I would like to get rid of many still in shrinkwrap, I am thinking of doing the Amazon\ebay thing or just doing crsigslist.

thanks for that! I'm here in Talil, Iraq. we have a morale tent here that has dvd players and tvs to watch movies on. we have a small selection of dvds and alot of them are scratched or won't play because of the dust. New donated movies would be very appreciated by all the people here. Thank you

Check to see if theres a Zia Records. They give a pretty good value and usually have lots of the newer dvd/blu ray movies used.
