WHat are the best audio settings for PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

I have had people tell me with LPCM or Bitstream. What is the difference and what is the best for my receiver:

Pioneer Elite 82TSX

It does not have TruHD or DTS Master.

I tried LPCM vs Bitstream and it seems as if Bitstream sounds better to me.

Please help!

It is connected to the receiver with HDMI and the software is 2.10

on my VSX-81TXH:

I keep mine on Bitstream, only when I want to hear the Dolby TrueHD audio track do I then switch to Linear PCM.

Thats just how I like it.

Uncompressed PCM audio tracks will play on either Bitstream or Linear PCM...doesnt matter.

Only TrueHD, it must be on Linear PCM.

You can easily toggle between the two settings while the movie is in play. This allows you to switch back and forth without having to stop in the middle of the movie.

Press the

Triangle button and go to A/V Settings
