Amazon.com PreOrder Shipment Day Of? - Blu-ray Forum

Ok As most of us pre order on on amazon. i was wondering if you ever got your delivery the day of its release instead of 2 days later? For example No Country For Old Men on the 11th instead of 13th? Has anyone ever called and explained it to them and had them ship it out early? I think if you call and say this comes out that day i want it that day or i could just get it at a store!!

ps im gonna try it right now

Lets us know what they say. Probably something like " the process is fully automated, and I cannot guarantee when the movies will be shipped".

I received 30 Days of Night the day after it was released. It was shipped the day before it was suppose to be released. I have read of people that have received their shipments early occasionally as well.

I've ordered hundreds of movies from Amazon and the new releases always get shipped on Monday from my experience (the day before release) and with Prime (2day) always arrived on Wednesday for me. If I ordered them overnight I'd have gotten them on release day.

) and it says est. arrival on the 13th? not like i can't wait 2 days, just gotta resist renting at blockbuster tuesday!

Some how I dont think calling amazon and demanding they ship a BD to you when you want it is going to work. I have prime and I will get my copys of ID4 hitman and I,robot on WED.

i robot is thursday for me as well with prime! weird

i have prime as well. and if you choose 2 day shipping it comes in on THUR. and yes they just waived my shipping so i will now get it on wednesday and 3.99 off. so now its 19.96 for me

what i said was " ok its gonna be late...its gonna be here on thursday. thats 2 days late. so now you can give me a 4 dollar promo code for my shipping being late" and that worked.

At least you got soemthing for your troubles. I don't have the patience to deal with CSR on the phone. Amazon has corrected a couple of issue for me. I personally like their service a lot.

amazon is the best. i have only been shopping there a month and they have given me over a hundred dollars in promos and price adjustments.

I have Amazon Prime and when I preorder a movie it always ships out on the Monday and I get it on the Wednesday with free 2 day shipping even though the estimated ship date always says it will be shipped on the Tuesday and I would receive it on the Thursday.

Dont deal much with Amazon,Here in Australia it can take 3-4 weeks before a disc arrives with them.For some reason it ends up going through Germany and 10 other countries before it arrives.I prefer dvd pacific which generally arrives about 1 week on standard shipping.Got 30 Days of Night before it was released from them .

I pre-ordered Dogma from Amazon, but I think I'm gonna cancel my pre-order for NCFOM and pick it up with the $10 off coupon, I wish that was for Dogma though, I want that one NOW!
