Hello,
I'm having a strange issue with my TV and Blu Ray player both from Sharp. I googled on the subject but there is nothing about it except for playstation owners. I watch blu ray through a HDMI cable from Monster. There were not cheap and I have two as I use the other for the digital decoder for normal television. I swichted cables and the problem exist on both. When I watch blu ray I get static noise on the screen for a split second. During the movie I also get static horizontal stripes. This occurs about every hour when watching. But last time I was watching Cinderella Man and in the last part of the film the movie went pink. Changing channel and back on the TV brought it back to normal. Unlike the playstation there are not many settings on the player. Just HDMI at 1080p and lower. My TV is also 1080p so this should not be a problem. The cables should be fine as I tried them both and it is on both cables. I also switched the connection in the TV. It does not matter. Player has also latest firmware. Anyone? |

I would suggest checking to make sure all of your video cables are on tightly first. Monster cables tend to fit very snugly, so they often aren't on all the way. That could be causing you to have a signal disruption. I have a monster component cable set that was bundled with my PS2, and those cables are still a beeyotch to fit on all the way.
It's my suspicion that there's something screwy with your TV. Try displaying your PS3 on another HDMI equipped TV, and that would either eliminate or identify your PS3 as the culprit. If it's not the PS3, then it's probably the TV. |

I dont have a playstation. Did you read my post? I also dont have a backup TV with HDMI to try things out. The stuff I have is in my sig.
I think the HDMI cable is disturbed somehow from an external source. I moved it and it was gone. I tried two cables mind you with the same result. However I watched DVD today with no problem. I thought it was blu ray exclusive as it uses the highest burden on the cable right? Anyway I dont think it is the TV. I will try to find out what the external source could be. |
