Default "Top Ten Titles" for 2008?

New to the site, but I love it and spend a lot of free time here when at work. Like the thread topic says, what are your "Top Ten Titles" for 2008? I'm talking stuff that HASN'T been announced yet. And let's exclude the "givens" like STAR WARS I-VI, INDIANA JONES, and LOTR. I'm talking top to bottom remasters with all the extras. What would you like to see? Myself, I'd like:

1)Suspiria (1977)
2)Vertigo (1958)
3)Stagecoach (1939)
4)Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)
5)The Magnificent Seven (1960)
6)Death Wish (1974)
7)The Great Escape (1963)
8)Night of the Living Dead (1968)
9)Cool Hand Luke (1967)
10)Starship Troopers (1997)

I wish Toy Story was coming out this year, but it will likely come out mid 2010 when TS3 comes to theaters, or Nov. 2010 when TS3 and TS2 come to BD

Top Ten thats hard but top 2 are sure gonna be there

1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. The Matrix Trilogy
4. V For Vendetta
5. Wall-E
6. Pineapple Express (seeing that Superbad was a massive hit)
7. The Chronicles Of Narnia 1
8. Sleeping Beauty
9. Indiana Jones Collection
10. Hancock

i would love to see Sin City, Kill Bill's and Pulp Fiction on that list but i dont see them coming before 2009 or at least Sin City in '09 considering Sin City 2 and 3 are coming then

*all these titles have been announced and the movies coming soon are from disney and sony so we'll see a Blu release for sure

i thought it was gonna be the top 10 sellers of '08 thread not another wishlist thread

Last edited by gamer4eva; 03-19-2008 at 02:25 AM. Reason: thought by looking at the title it was not a wishlist thread

Beast,

STAR WARS, INDY, and LOTR are "givens" because probably 90% of the people on this site want them released. The whole idea behind this thread was to get a feel for OTHER films, ones that AREN'T mentioned on every other thread on this site. I apologize that I didn't spell it out clearly enough for you, because, thus far, everyone else gets the point I was trying to get across.

They're not givens for coming out this year, which is what your thread is about.

Considering how long it took to get the OT on DVD, we'll be waiting a while.

...I'm sorry, I thought I started this thread...

...Just kidding, good to see someone as passionate about film and the format as I am is out there. As far as STAR WARS goes, though, I'd expect it sooner than later what with the CLONE WARS movie coming out this summer and the HD versions of the OT on HBO and CINEMAX a few months ago. Of course, Lucas will double-dip the living hell out of those on BD. I'm just waiting till he announces he can download them directly to our minds and charge us all a one-time fee...
