Exclamation Event Horizon

Great. I'm a mess now after seeing this last night. Everyone in my living room who saw it became a mess, too. Jeez. Wonderful sound (LFEs...fantastic) and visuals, but...jeez!

One can only imagine the sheer terror a Blu-ray release of this would cause, if the DVD did this.

one of very very few movies that scares me that I also enjoy. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I just watched this and In The Mouth Of Madness a few weeks ago. Both would be great on Blu-Ray.

Two excellent but somewhat disturbing movies that must come out on Blu-ray. I couldn't agree with you more on those two choices.

I saw Event Horizon for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was a good and eerie sci-fi, but I did not get the scare factor out of it that many do. It would be good with HD video and audio.

I hate when that happens. It's usually when I'm drinking...not blackouts mind you...I haven't consumed that much since probably '92 or '93, but just poor memory for details. I often watch two movies on Friday nights, and I also often rewatch whatever one I watched second on Saturday afternoon while I run on the treadmill or ride the stationary bike for this very reason.

Default Event Horizon

This title pops up quite regularly on Sky Movies HD. the transfer looks truly excellent and would be an excellent title for a BD release. It's Paramount, so we will have a long wait. It was first shown on Sky Movies HD well before Paramount dis its "disappearing act", so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Neptune and the "Event Horizon" shots looked very nice indeed. I would hate to think what they look like in low definition.

Basically dude (sam neill) invents a ship that can jump across space. Not in a light speed kind of way but a way that goes along with the theory that only light can travel as fast as light. Anyways, it went missing and popped up around Neptune I think and by the end of the movie, you figure out that it had been to hell. It's more than just a haunted ship, it's crazy freaky. Definitely one of the scariest movies premise-wise that I've ever seen.

This should look great in Blu, fun and scary. I have it on DVD but it looks awful upscaled, probably the worst of any DVD I own.

One would think, but you never know. It is a great movie though which I'll snap up in a heartbeat once it's released on Blu.

Not trying to be mean here... but Seriously... you may want to add a SPOILER header on this for those of us who haven't seen the movie. Luckily after reading your first sentence I skipped the rest, but others may not be so lucky

Great movie. I have yet to see it since I got the theater pretty much completed. I'll have to break it out again. I'd buy it in a second if it came to Blu.

I'd love to have both Event Horizon and In the Mouth Of Madness on BD. And Phantasm as well.

Some of the Extra's material on the 2 Disc Special Edition had to be transfered from (..gasp..) VHS because the original footage was lost.
