I bet that box of Kleenex has about the same production costs as a Monster cable.

Thanks also for the kind words,Yes I am very proud of her , I have put my kids through alot in the years ,dragging them from stereo shop to syero shop , and playing music all hours of the night.LOL But one thing i made sure of is the have a love for music & movies , And they all know the tech gear. I was a closed circuit tv tech in the navy . also been into bands & dj all through school , so they all have it in thier blood .Plus I taught her all she knows about audio / video and when she was hired by circuit city they were amazed of her knowldge of tv's stereo eq.& monster cable .actually she was the 1st girl ever hired as head of the audio dept. And less than two months she took over as operation manager for the store .Plus she finishing up her degree in college for criminal justice,so pretty proud of her.Lets put it this way ,shes was the top salesperson in the store avg. around $90,000 a month in sales ,so i think shes does well..
And I'll LYK wha I get.thanks again

I was just playin' with ya. You have to be able to laugh at a good ribbing in society today. Hell, people make fun of me and start laughing "behind my back" I want to know what's so funny so that I can join in the fun!

And just to let you know, I have Monster speaker wire running through my living room. So I'm entitled to poke fun at the brand. But, knowing the price that I got my 100 feet for makes it easier for me to cope with. If it came down to a full retail price for purchase, I would have went with something much cheaper... cheaper in price that is, since quality would have been the same.

I wired up my HT & music systems with Monster cables. I find it
strange that the brand always get bashed for being too expensive and
what have you.Others which are more expensive never get bashed.

I agree with Sandman it's a good brand and you are getting your money
worth.Monster cables are sturdy and their patented 'turbine cut' RCA
connectors provide a very good grip.

We as HT enthusiasts spends hundreds if not thousands of dollars on
our systems so what's there's to gripe about spending a bit more on
cabling to give us the satisfaction of enjoying good sound and video
thru good cables.

( I know alot of you don't care for Monster buy hey to each is own okay) Just thought it was cool.
Hey, I think it's cool. Free stuff is always good, and free stuff that you like is even better. Especially when the free stuff is that which you can't pick up in the store or get anywhere else... exclusives, etc. are always neat! You'll have to let us know what he hooks you up with.

Give the guy a break. And hey, it's not Monster's fault they charge a premium... they charge what customers are willing to pay. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy them, but don't flame a guy for liking them, it's his own preference. Yes, Monster cables may be overpriced, but they're not inferior.

My issue with Monster Cable is not their prices. That's capitalism. My issue is threatening legal action to every company who comes out with A/V cables or even uses the word Monster in their name(Monster Garage anyone?)

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and court records, Monster Cable has gone after other notable monsters:

-- Walt Disney Co., which distributed Pixar Animation Studios' hit film "Monsters, Inc.''

-- Bally Gaming International Inc. for its Monster Slots.

-- Hansen Beverage Co. for a Monster Energy drink.

-- The Chicago Bears, whose nickname is "Monsters of the Midway.''

In most cases, Monster Cable has been able to work out a settlement or nominal licensing agreement, Tognotti said.
Work out a settlement. It should read shakedown legitimate businesses. Because of this crap it's going to be harder and harder to find good prices on cables because of "nominal licensing agreements". Thank God for Kurt Denke.

It wasn't a knock at you. It was at Monster for charging $50 for a cable I can get elsewhere for $5.
