Default Deleting Downloads from PS3?

Hello,

I am new to this forum first of all but want to let everyone know that I completely support blu-ray. My question is regarding the PS3. I have recently downloaded quite a few movie trailers and game demos. After playing the demos and watching the trailers I want to delete some of the downloads. I cannot figure out how to do this without doing a complete reformat of the hard drive which I am not willing to do. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Matthew Rounds

Select the trailer/game and then press the triangle button on the controller and select delete.

Pressing the triangle button will also give yuo a few other choices depending on what you press it on.

Question PS3 Folding@Home

Does anyone know how to delete the Folding@Home program off of your PS3? I think this program is a great idea but between rising electric bills and system overheating, I don't think I will use it. Is it possible to delete it?

To delete the program, same method as usual. With the Folding@home icon selected press TRIANGLE and select Delete from the list of options. The launch icon is part of the PS3 firmware and the only way to download the program so can't currently be deleted.

Here is a chart that shows prices across the U.S.A as of Dec 2006.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/776/776347p1.html

So IF you were to run it 24/7 for 30 days the national average would be $12. Running it for just 3 days straight out of that month would cost you $1.20 to help cure some serious diseases. If that's too much for you then 8 hours for one day would cost you 20 cents.

Which is about 1/250th the price your next game will cost ... or to put it another way you could contribute 8 hours one day a month for the next ~21 years for that one game your going to buy... but whatever floats your boat.

PS3 systems have been running 24/7 for months without overheating so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

whenever you are confused, hit the triangle button...

the confusion usually goes away afterwards..

Carefully box up your PS3 and PM me for my address. Once your PS3 is shipped out you can consider the downloads and movie trailers as good as deleted.

Yeah, I know someone else that has been running 24/7 since they bought it about 6 weeks ago. Probably about 80% of that time is running Folding.
