deleting a ps3 id

Hey all,

Forgive me if I use the wrong terminalogy. My friend has a PS3 and on it he has his user account, like on mine i'm Spiderbri, but you can add extra people. Well he still has a user id from his old girlfriend. We don't know how to get rid of it, its been there for over a year. he even has a id for his new girlfriend, and it's just funny to see that old one still there.

I mean there has to be a way to delete it right? Am I making sense? on the XMB if you go all the way to the left it list your user name. you can make more user names for your friends ( i guess thats what its for. not really sure why you would do it to begin with I think back then they thought it was kindof like making a Mii for each person.) Any help would be appreciated.

I know i have deleted a friends Id of my list in the past. Can't remember how to do it exactly.
Try selecting it and hitting the triangle, the triangle usualyl gives you a bunch of options. Only thing i can think of trying since i am not at home to verify this.
