What is a Tiesto?

Tiesto is a DJ. He was the first DJ to do the opening for the Athens Olympics. He is one of the worlds number 1 DJ's.

As amazon puts it

No release is currently planned for North America. The video on the UK version is 1080i50, so even if it wasn't region-coded it wouldn't play on North American Blu-ray players/TVs. They need to do a framerate conversion on the video to make it 24p (or 1080i60) before they can even think of releasing it here.

crap. that sucks. ugh. this has to be the number 1 blu-ray that i am waiting for. thanks for the info. there goes buying one from UK and having it shipped to me. i guess i will have to deal with just a regular dvd of it for now

I actually spoke with someone at black hole recordings and he confirmed to me that it was region 0

If correct (we heard differently from someone working for the authoring company a couple of months ago), then not being Region coded should allow the disc to playback on PC systems with Blu-ray playback, but it still won't allow for playback on US standalone BD players or PS3s as they aren't designed to playback 50i titles.

I was at Mansion the night before and it had to be the only club in the entire city playing hip-hop most the night.

I was 100 feet from Tiesto when he closed the show at UMF Friday night. Completely rocked it and stole the show. It was the 4th time I saw him live and for sure my favorite show that night; but I think the environment had a lot to do with it.

Tiesto, Moby, and Benny Bennasi were my top 3 at UMF.

yeah... if u like Benny Benassi , there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B

hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

Folks,

I am currently sat in the lounge listening and watching this Blu-ray. There is a definite quality increase when switching to the DTS-HD MA track

Great on the ears, not sure my neighbours appreciate me at the moment.

Picture quality varies and is quite grainy in places but I guess that is down to the lighting. Overall in my opinion it does not detract from what this is all about and that is the music.

On the box it states "Blu-ray region B".

ANyway it's PAL 50i so no region A player can play it but a PC..

I was listening to channel 818 on my cable system. It is all dance music all the time. I heard a song called "Break My Fall" by DJ Tisto. I liked it.

Man, I'm really jealous of you Europeans who got this title. I was going to import it, but since I could only ever play it on my PC, with less than ideal sound, I'm holding off hoping for them to remaster to 24p for a U.S. release.

Slightly OT: Anyone check out his new mix album, In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza? It's considerably better than 4 and 5 and has been on continuous rotation in my car for the past month.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind it. Maybe testing the waters before making more masters? Who knows. Managed to watch 3 hours of it last night, sat there gobsmacked.

One thing I did like is the fact you put the disc in, straight to the concert, no messing with menus. Brilliant.

Yup, got that one too. I actually quite like the series though the releases are quite a far apart in release dates.

You might want to look at the Global Underground series.....
