Default HD Guru alert - price of flat panels to drop considerably throughout May

http://hdguru.com/psst%e2%80%a6wanna...-till-may/236/

Quote:
In a few days the price of flat panel TVs will drop considerably. Why? Because Sony wants to regain its number one market share, so its drastically dropping the prices of its first new 2008 1080p flat panel models in order to pick up more sales volume.

Perhaps I should hold off a few weeks on the REGZA and pick up a S4100

This is great news, because I am in the market now for a secon HDTV. The article mentions the Sony KDL-46S4100, but with a contrast ratio of 2,500:1 isn't that crappy specs?

This is great news. My dad and my sister (and my brother) are all looking into getting new TVs, and this means HDTV might get into their price range finally!
I hope so cause this will really boost BD sales!

Might be getting a 37" for my bedroom then~~ 26" is just kinda small right now.

Anyone wanna take my 26" Westinghouse 720P HDTV off me?

I'll sell it cheap and I still have 29 months of warrenty left through BB.

this is why amazon kicks ass, their post price guarentee means even if you buy a hdtv now, they'll price match it if it lowers. Same thing with CC. Right now is the best time to get a new tv
