Default Blade Runner (loose discs, etc.)

I bought Blade Runner back when it released in December on Amazon, and three out of five discs were floating. They didn't look as bad as a Blockbuster rental, but they had their fair share of marks. Needless to say I sent it back and decided to wait to get a copy in-store when the sale price was right.

Well, today I picked up a copy from Best Buy ($19.99) and I couldn't hear any loose discs moving around upon inspection. But lo and behold, the same thing happened to me! Seriously, the five disc case used in this collection is one of my most hated.

By the way, it's always been the Workprint disc, The Final Cut disc and disc three that are always damaged.

Bought mine from Warner Bros. store. Not a loose disc in the case. I am extremely happy with the packaging. Same with the "Lost," "Planet Earth" and "Prison Break" sets.

I bought recently and had one of the discs loose inside. No noticeable scratches thankfully.

The first one I bought at Best Buy had been loose and was scratched. I went back and exchanged it for another. That one also had loose discs, but they weren't scratched.

Yeah, mine just had the workprint disc loose, but other than that, there were no scratches on the workprint nor were there any on the other 4 discs.

Mine had a couple loose too. The dvd ones were marked up a bit. blurays are resistant to scratches and it pained me to see the bonus features on dvds i mean what the hell?

i had no loose discs in either my copy of Blade Runner or Nip/Tuck season 4, but i have noticed loosed disc in the multi-discs cases, such as these and other tv series. i always shake a case just to make sure that nothing is loose.

WHICH PROBABLY LOOSENS THEM AFTER YOUR INSPECTION!!!

jkjk. My workprint was loose. It has marks on the disc and drives me up the wall. Just keep on exchanging them until you get one that stays in the holds

I never had any loose discs with my Blade Runner casing, so I guess that I was just one of the lucky ones.

I bought a copy at Best Buy today as well, and I also got a floating workprint disc

Didn't have that problem. My problem is that disc 1 and 5, despite having the correct labels, are identical to each other (the final cut appears on both discs), I contacted Warner Bros. about it a couple of times, and still haven't heard anything about it. Talk about customer loyalty.

When I purchase a blu-ray I inspect the packaging before I buy. I'll go through the entire stack they have of the movie I'm about to purchase. I'll pick up 2 or 3 of the best looking ones and will shake them a bit to see if the disc is loose or not. I also check to make sure the spine is evenly distributed and will check the artwork to ensure it is in pristine condition. I hate when the center piece that holds the disc in place is cracked... Drives me nuts...

Some say that's crazy but I say OCD... It's the only way to be....

My workprint disc wasn't loose ... it was missing
Replacement set was fine and even kept the incomplete set

reminds me of some dvds in the past and even when i bought a dvd on Tuesday there were 2 copies the 1st one i grabbed seemed to me like the disc holder inside the case was broken off so i got the next copy and it was in good shape so i grabbed the good one and left the loose one behind. but i never had that happen with Blu-Ray and im proud to say that
