The date on Amazon for Season 4 changed from April 1 to April 29. Is this a legit delay or an Amazon mistake?

Holy crap! I've called the first two seasons of Enterprise being like more of Voyager too, and you're the first person I've seen who also said that!

Voyager was the only Star Trek show I stopped watching after a while. It was supposed to be what the Battlestar Galactica remake was, but instead we got bland and safe.

Pretty much. Voyager and Enterprise seasons one and two suffer for being the same type of thing Next Generation did much better, and with a better crew. I still own them and enjoy them because they're Star Trek, but both were missed opportunities to do something different like DS9 did.

Which is why I was happy when Enterprise finally did something different in season three, even if it was controversial with fans.

The 3rd French season does not carry or Spanish subtitles or audio, nor wears Italian

I guess there are no Finnish subtitles either? Amazon.fr still mentions it has subtitles in "Espagnol, Allemand, Français, Italien, Japonais, Danois, Finnois, Néerlandais, Norvégien, Suédois"

I noticed the US release has less language options at startup this time, compared to the first two releases.

I received the French version today, and it certainly didn't include the subtitles that were mention in French Amazon's Product Overview.

The normal 90 minute making-of and a documentary on the Temporal Cold War were the big features. I don't think season three had a roundtable thing like the first two.

They got a formula that worked in TNG and they tried to use it on both Voyager and Enterprise only it took them a while to discover that the formula was for the TNG people and didn't work elsewhere nearly as good. I still watched Voyager but it was the one series that I didn't really miss once it was off the air. I just think Voyager was too "clean" considering what had happened to them - the ship always looked like it just left starbase. I would have loved for it to start showing signs that they are working without the things they need. Show a crew dealing with their environment and barely surviving. With season 3 of Enterprise, you started seeing that as the Enterprise at the end was not in the same condition as we saw at the start of the season.

Yeah, there was a ton of potential for Voyager to shake things up. It's a real bummer they didn't do it. They even had a lot of great ideas like being stranded on a planet or fighting Federation officers who were willing to turn evil to get home, they just kept it all to one or two-part stories that easily went away as soon as they were over.

That was how the bosses wanted it.

*Network* bosses.

TNG & DS9 were syndicated and not beholden to corporate suits, nor interfered with. People like to recklessly blame Brannon Braga & Rick Berman for everything wrong and ignore the incredible pressures and restraints placed by the UPN network. The names of the suits aren't in the credits so they aren't targeted. I think Brannon takes too much blame on himself in the documentaries. Probably hammered so much by the fans for so long...

For sure. I'm sure there's blame to spread around but the lack of changing things up was surely a network issue, and they say as much in the new blu ray features.

Totally agree with the network execs keeping the writers/producers on a 'leash' of some sort. Who knows what was going through their heads at the times that they didn't want to take the shows in different direction to keep things fresh & new.

Exactly for Voyager as you guys say it had heaps heaps more potential but it was held back.
Voyager was one of my fav out of all the Star Trek series. To be honest it's the series that got me hooked onto Star Trek as a whole.
I remember watching a interview that Rick Berman did and he said the network execs didn't even want Kate Mulgrew as the captain and they gave the job to this other French-Canadian actress which left the show after 3-4 days of shooting.
So goes to show how much there decisions were right. lol
For me personally I can't imagine watching the show without Kate in it being as the captain.

With Enterprise I only ever watched it before once on DVD when it came out back 10 years ago..now that I'm watching it on Blu ray again from the start i must admit this time around i am appreciating the show alot more. I know there were some episodes that were alittle boring but overall I still think it was a good 'Star Trek' show. It just needed more of a chance to develop as you could tell the show was rushed to get it going straight after Voyager ended.
I so wish we got a proper 7 full seasons of Enterprise to see further development of the series. Was really sad to see it end after only 4 seasons.

I enjoyed Enterprise 1 and 2 more on blu ray as well. I think it was just burnout when they originally came out.

And I too like Voyager, mostly because Mulgrew is a badass captain and it has a charming light-hearted vibe most of the time, which is different. Overall though it could have been so much better, which is what I think people focus on.

Yep yep i agree on all of that.

This might sound alittle crazy but i always thought to my self the 2 part episodes on Voyager YEAR OF HELL...how would it have been if instead that whole story arc was carried out over the entire course of season 4 ???
I dont know if it would have worked or not..but i always felt when i watch those 2 episodes it would have been fantastic to see the story unfold bit by bit and as mentioned in the previous post we would have got then to see Voyager slowly getting more damaged & banged up as the season progressed.
