I think the one you ordered is better because it's 24 gauge wire and the other is 28 gauge wire (thinner, less strands).
The one they shipped is cheaper too. http://www.monoprice.com/products/se...p?keyword=3992 |

No worries I called them and they said keep the one you have and they will send the other one i ordered.
I figured they would say that considering the cable cost $4 and shipping cost $3. |

Monoprice is amaaaaaaazing.
After I received my order, I immediately started dropping their name all over the studio where I work. My Art director WAS famous for buying expensinve cables and then *****ing about it and then I told him about Monoprice. Whe he got his shipment he was so impressed with them AND my referral he called my agency and got me paid holidays AND a freaking 401k 4 months early!!!! Dude...bottome line...Monoprice.com just makes peoples lives better. |

One quick question. You ordered the really thick one with the netting and received one that was smaller in gauge and without the netting. The reason I asked is I ordered the ones with the netting and didn't realize that they are not really flexable at all (ones with netting). They are heavy and great but they put stress on the HDMI connector and are hard to bend at the ends.
I ended up purchasing a few more multicolored cables and they are a lot easier for bending and don't put so much stress on my connections. I use the "beast" ones as backup. When you receive the heavier ones and hook them up you'll see what I'm talking about and will be glad they sent you the wrong one. I still love Monoprice and the multicolored ones simplified all the different connections I have between the receiver/PS3/standalone BD player and TV. |

![]() ...as mdabb said, you will definitely notice the stiffness of the thicker cable. I tend to only use them at 10' or longer, just because its not very flexible...and the 28awg works just as good under that length. ![]() |
