So, if anyone isn't a US (or Canada) resident, can't aquire in any way these Blurays, right?
(the ebay seller ships only to US, and the Disney Club ships only to US & Canada).

I don't know why, but I'm kind of surprised they didn't make it a double feature with The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again.

Fantastic news! Gives me a glimmer of hope for getting the HD transfer of The Happiest Millionaire on disc.

Does it matter if you join as a Movie Club member vs Blu-ray Movie Club member as far as being able to buy these or does it not matter once you are a member?

I agree about Cool Runnings - during the Winter Olympics this year would have been a perfect time to have released it. But no.

I don't think there's such a thing as Movie Club Member

There's either a DVD or BD membership that you sign up for initially....
it's very YMMV when dealing with DMC. It should be no problem to sign up for a DVD membership and then request BD's but that probably wouldn't fly [as sometimes the opposite can cause confusion when it's actually saving them money and yet still denied ]

When you sign up online, once you add a blu-ray to your enrollment package, you'll be put into the blu-ray club. Not sure if it works the same over the phone. Either way, you're free to choose whatever format you like.

The promo code that you use determines what "club membership" you're entered into..
[i.e. the promo code in the DMC thread is for a BD membership -- replacing the B in it with a D puts you in the DVD one]

True, but there are also codes without B or D and once you add a blu-ray, it will put you in the blu-ray club.

I'm 42 and I remember as a kid (maybe around 1980 or '81) when we got our first VHS player my mom had recommended me seeing this as we rented it which was a big deal at the onset of the VHS days and I liked it. I rented it several more times around that period of time and I have not seen it since. I would love to see it again on Blu.

Does Apple Dumpling or Computer Wore Tennis Shoes count towards the enrollment? They're not $29 so I guess they wouldn't.

I wouldn't think so (definitely not now as it isn't released yet) but if you were to try and get it included it'd be completely YMMV if it'd be included in the enrollment 5 (or 7) which I'm assuming you meant.
((They won't count as commitment titles towards fulfilling your membership due to the price though))

Both Apple Dumpling and Computer Wore Tennis Shoes are now on the Disney DVD Club website for purchase. I am getting them both for $14.99 each because I accepted the "member selection".

Yeah, thanks. That's what I meant

I'll probably buy them off Ebay in that case.

I'm probably just going to end up purchasing this on eBay myself. The Disney Movie Club just seems like too big of a hassle for me and not necessarily worth it if you want 3D titles. Though I do REALLY want them to release more classics like this; I MIGHT enroll and buy it just to show my support for their catalog release efforts.
