Default Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 Rental vs Regular release

I was curious if anyone here knows the difference between the Nightmare on Elm Street widespread release was any different than the rental version. I have a copy I purchased back when Block Buster was going out of business the only difference I can find is that it says Rental on the disc at the bottom. Does anyone know if this is the same disc that is in the widespread release? Is it the same video/audio quality? Is it missing extras? Is it an edited cut of the film?

Since you actually have the disc, you might be in a better position to tell us.

Rental usually means barebones and not features what so ever. Plus i some instances the audio is different too. I don't know if WB does that though.

I thought the audio was only different with rental streaming/downloadable versions and not rental actual physical copy versions, but you might be right.

Lionsgate puts lossy audio on their rental discs, where the retail discs have lossless audio.

Can't recall if this rental had neutered audio or not, but know it did not have the extra features and the rental banner was too ugly for me to pull the trigger when BB was going out of biz and this was down $3 or so. I would've paid a dollar, but it was gone by the $2 week of closing.

Yeah, besides the ugly rental banner, the rental version is missing the following:

Quote:
Focus Points (1080p): Makeup Makes the Character (3:34), Micronaps (2:38), The Hat (2:31), Practical Fire (2:32), The Sweater (2:20), The Glove (2:24), and The Victims (3:51). Next is Freddy Krueger Reborn (1080p, 13:54), a piece that looks at the icon that is Freddy Krueger; the differences between this remake and the original; the dark nature of this picture; casting Jackie Earle Haley; designing the characters' costume, weapon, and makeup; and framing and lighting the character in the movie. Also included is BD-Live functionality, an alternate opening (1080p, 1:11), a deleted scene (1080p, 0:58), and an alternate ending (1080p, 6:12)
The Film itself however does not suffer from Lossy audio, as the English DTS-HD MA 5.1 Track is in tact. Secondary Audio only includes the Spanish 5.1 track, and not the French or Portuguese tracks found on the standard edition however.
