You know 50M PS3's is incorrect. That's actually PSP's + PS3's.

The PSN accounts is correct.

the way i read that post is.The statement was talking about the playstation 3 only. as it was directly talking about the playstation 3 . now i am not saying what they said was right but that is quite a big statement since the PSP was not included in that statement in the numbers of systems in consumers hands.

no way sony has sold 50 million PS3s, now the PSP + PS3 number is very close to 50 million.

10 million accounts isn't very representitive either. I alone have 5 different accounts on mine, and if everybody did that ( i know they don't, but im just pointing it out) that would only mean 2 million people were actually online.

i tend to agree with that

but when they make a statement like this one must wonder where they have their source data on sale through numbers from..? since that number would be talking about world wide IMO , One must wonder the 50 million being thrown out there, because PCWORLD is most of the time pretty spot on with their sources.

PCWORLD is most of the time spot on ..not this time though...

i kind of thought something like that i just found it funny the PCWORLD skips includeing the PSP.

i mean, the wii has only sold about 30 mil. so if PS3 was 20 million units ahead of the wii, we would have defineatly heard some bragging out of sony and the public perception wouldn't be that the wii is kicking every consoles butt right now.
