That's interesting.

A 39% attach rate for the month would seem to be pretty good. Yet, whatever the games they were buying weren't enticing enough for non-owners to get a PS/3.

I'll NEVER buy the Wii due to lack of HD support! I've played it at a friend's house, weren't that impress... I believe the reason why it's doing well is the price, it's one of the next-gen systems out, people can't afford 360s or PS3s because you would also need a HD TV, Wii will play on any TVs and it's the only way to feel 'hey I own a next-gen console!' at a affordible price.

These are all United States #, thanks to VGChartz for the info.
For the month of May, total software sold in units in Japan
Wii-689,302 ( almost a 26% attach rate)
PS3-29,018 (close to a 3% attach rate)
360-47,807 (close to a 12% attach rate)

The PS3 is being killed by the Wii, and in May by the 360 in Japan....wacky.

Funny, people respond to your posts and yet you choose not to respond. Probably because your arguments suck. You only choose to respond to the very few where you have any footing. Hmmm, personality defect?

Their production problems seem resolved for now. Every store that sells video games has units in stock in my location. Will prolly reach similar levels to the PS3 in short measure.

That said, the Wii isn't a console that competes with the 360 or the PS3 [at this point]. The Console the Wii competes with is the Gamecube due to target audiences.

As for the past 10+ years, First Party drives Nintendo.

Title support is lacking... Seriously. The big boon the PS3 has going for it right now is the Blu-Ray support. Unforunately it looks like it'll be 2008 before I see games I actively want [largely due to my taste in games].

I'm not sure if their production problem is resolved, not a single store has a Wii in my location and when they get them in they're gone the next day.

Hmm, I'd suggest checking around Thursdays.

That said, EB/Gamestop started to sell bundles online again and it took them a week or so to get 'out of stock'. Next few shipments should shift them to a decent saturation rate. Largely depends on the region too, obviously. Anyway, seems more like they're close to the state the PS3s were in a few monthes ago in that regard [some areas have them, some don't, yada yada].

Thursday is usually when stores receive there shipments but it could be Tuesday and Wednesday as well. I'm not looking to buy a Wii so it doesn't really matter.

PS3 needs to increase in sells in both systems and games; at this rate we might lose more exclusive third party games, if sells don't pick up.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma and the Darkeness will produce some sales at the end of themonth. NG:S should be pretty big in Japan, considering the Japanese arent that big on the xbox and most likely havent even played the game.

Exactly. This is typical first year of a console doldrums combined with a high cost of hardware.

I'd like to see the PS3 lowered to $499 for Christmas and folks can see that come late summer on through is when the games are going to start showing up.

Way too much FUD and doom'n'gloom from the handful of usual suspects on this subject.

In 2 posts earlier I blew out your weak argument but you chose not to address data driven criticism, you just run back to posting the same thing.
