Although I have downloaded Folding@Home I have only used it for approximately 8 hours as I don't like to leave my machine on when I am not playing games or watching a movie (the ps3 gets pretty hot).
Here is my idea, the amount of time spent on Folding@home could equal some kind of credit on the PSN network for downloads that are not free. Perhaps ever 100 hours equals $0.10, something... Yes, I am looking for an incentive to have the Folding@home on more often. I care about cancer so please no comments on the search for a cure to cancer being incentive enough. Do I get credit if my machine is the one which solves the problem? Can I use the electricity which is being used by the PS3 when Folding@home is on as a tax deduction (donation)? What does everyone think? I know some of you have it on all the time, others may not even know what it is. Is there a way to get more people to use Folding@home? Thanks, Matthew Rounds PS I wasn't sure where to put this, perhaps blu-ray players is a better choice? |
