They should be upgraded to HD, otherwise they could just do a BD with DVD for the extras (and they'd just about fit on a dvd), so I think they'll be HD.

The extras from the previous discs were originally in 4:3, including whatever footage used from the movie. What I'm guessing will happen with those is what Fox did for the Alien documentaries, which was to crop the interview segments so they can fit in a wider frame and use 16:9 clips from the film.

That's a confusing listing. It states "4K remaster" a few times, but the pictures of the packaging are clearly just standard Blu-rays. Also, the sound is mentioned as simply DTS 5.1, which seems a bit anemic for a 4K UHD disc. I'm thinking this may be only a 1080p presentation of a 4K source, not an actual 4K disc.

Since when does one exclude the other? It's a Blu-ray release of a 4K remaster.

I'd like to see a 4K Blu-ray + Blu-ray combo pack, so that I can future-proof my purchase right off the bat.

Of course, I'm one of the few people who is perfectly happy with my existing Blu-ray of Heat.

+1, gonna hold off for a UHD but until then, I think the existing Blu-ray is just fine.

I've seen plenty of Blu-ray releases touting a NEW 4K RESTORATION! and this is no different. It's a regular Blu-ray.

I had the vhs, then the dvd, then the Blu-ray, now have the Steelbook Blu-ray and yes, they're gonna get my money for this too.
Love this movie and a 4k scan sounds good.
