I can appreciate your point of view and that this is one topic where we just won't ever see eye to eye, but I did want to touch on this point at the end... I actually work in public service with developmentally disabled children, adults and their families to help them obtain the support they need to be successful in their lives and communities. I was brought up Catholic and am myself a fairly conservative individual. I spend my days helping others and working with people from all walks of life. Could I also happen to be a sick individual? Perhaps, but the rest of my life, the work I do, and my family would likely tell you otherwise. I prefer my life to be as consistent, routine, and vanilla as possible most days. Films like this are my release from the doldrums of an otherwise very boring, very average, and very uneventful life.

You just said in your post that you were very affected by the movie and even saddened by it, so no I wasn't referring to you as a person. I don't see why people need to bring up religion as an argument, it's self defeating because it implies that one needs religion to have a moral compass, far from the truth.
