Are the specs identical between the UK and US discs? Subtitles and Audio tracks? Is the only difference the disc label? I bought the UK release for the better cover, but then the discs have the backwards logo on them and I feel like swapping the disc out for a US one if they're identical to the specs listed on the back of the UK case.

I didn’t buy it though as I want to check if I’m satisfied enough with the blu-ray that I have. Also I wanted Godfather 4k but just couldn’t spend the money for all 3 today (got Atomic Blonde 4k steelbook - couldn’t decide between Godfather and Ghostbusters so got neither lol). |

I think it's easily the grainiest of the 4k discs I have and I have the 10 oldest movies released in UHD. The only thing that's close are the spaceship scenes in ET. It wasn't enough for me to be overly distracted, though. |

I may just wait for a bigger price drop. Christmas is coming, and I need to make sure I’m careful with purchases. Maybe Amz or Frys will come through with a better deal on this that I can’t pass up. |

Owning this disc is almost like owning a pristine print of the film. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, like watching the movie again for the very first time. Granted.. I've never seen the mastered in 4k blus of this one, only the very first release and that was years ago.
Sony are the kings of back catalogue releases. Their 4k scans and encodes are so good. |

I find the colours and clarity of the picture just fantastic. I do love film grain and I go bananas when releases get DNR among other things but in this UHD grain is a problem. I am not convinced a good print of this film would have been this grainy.
On my TV it looks a tad too grainy for my liking but it is watchable but on my projector I find myself doing what I never do, which is apply all the noise reduction features available at home, this comes at the expense of detail and I still have a lot of grain left! Which is not ants on the screen by the way, its more like a swarm of wasp C'mon people, I am sure you own more than just one movie, you can't tell me this is the best movie PQ you have seen! It's a fun movie, yes, this is the best it has looked on home video, yes, but it isn't the best. Being unbiased and objective is not a crime. Leave all the emotional stuff at home. If you read the three only private reviews of this movie on this site the three private reviewers said it is very grainy and some people have been voting those reviews down to the point all the green bars dissapeared. Is this what this place is about? Censoring people who believe it is too grainy will not make the grain go away but it will deceive other people who do not like grainy movies. I bought it based on the official review , I don't think I regret it but I certainly don't love it. I am sure when you come here looking for info on a movie you want to buy you don't be mislead or do you? |

What a strange post. Look... some of us like our old shot on film releases to exhibit the natural grain inherent to those shooting techniques while others prefer a more clean image. No one is censoring anyone and no opinion is “right”. It’s a matter of personal taste and it makes for mostly good debate.
