Agreed....I auditioned them when they first came out! Didn't like the sound at all (a pair of F-3's murdered them - a pair of less expensive Polks as well). I blamed it on breakin time. So I waited a few months and went back....It wasn't the break-in time - it was the speakers - beautiful but compared to other Klipsch offerings - lacking! Couldn't hold a candle to the RF series let alone my ugly,boxy, Klipsch Heritage series Heresy speakers. The Heritage,RF, and THX series kills the Icon series (the lcons IMHO are little boys in a nice suit).
