I haven’t been this astounded by UHD quality since my first viewing of Pacific Rim when I first got my TV.
You think the Vudu UHD stream is great? You might wanna check out the MoviesAnywhere HDR stream. Jesus Christ, I think that one might be better between the two and the iTunes stream as well.

This is why digital get it first. It's not due to conspiracy theories about studios trying to manipulate us to abandon physical but instead, it's about making sure the potential double dippers among us get every chance to do so

Just finished the VUDU UHD in Dolby Vision. WOW. Killer visuals and audio, really packs a punch! This shall make a worthy demo disc when it gets in our collections later this month.

I went with the target exclusive for this. This means I am not getting an early digital copy and my copy will not arrive until at least Thursday in release week. Sigh. I will be strong. Or I will be in target on Tuesday.

Watched a few minutes of the VUDU UHD stream last night and it's gorgeous. Can't wait to see the actual disc. I A-B'd it with the HDX stream and there is no comparison. The Dolby Vision adds so much to the picture.

BTW, the HDX stream had the IMAX AR as well, so it looks like the expanded ratio is not exclusive to 4K.

Or getting it as a preorder bonus from purchasing the disc

I use my LG DV HDR TV to watch my 4K content. I don't have a Roku on that TV to check out the MoviesAnywhere stream but I do in my living room TV, so maybe tonight.

The Vudu stream blew me away in every sense of the word. The sound packed a massive wallop and the colors, jesus, the colors were gorgeous. The scene where Arthur and Mera jump off the boat into the Abyss to get to Trench while the horde circles them as they dive with the flare always stood out to me as something beautiful and in DV, jesus, it really met its potential and exceeded it.

Yeah, with my 6 series TCL, Dolby Vision is both a gift and a curse because while the colors on Dolby Vision are richer and more nuanced, the overall image compared to HDR10 is dimmer.

On a brighter television with Dolby Vision, I have no doubt that Dolby Vision wipes the floor with HDR10, IMO.

DV plenty bright on my LG C8 if done right. In Dynamic Metadata I trust.

Another 4K HDR clip from Aquaman

Yeah, I get buying it through Vudu so you get a disc and can also watch the movie early. I mean I'm not that impatient and would rather wait to watch the disc for highest quality, but I get that impatient folks might not be able to wait and at least they're supporting discs. That makes me happy.

People who buy on iTunes because they can't wait two weeks though? Someone call their mommas!

at least the 4K disc will come with Dolby Vision...seems like less and less discs are coming with it...feels like DV is being used to promote digital sales...which makes no sense as you're putting the premium HDR format with the inferior service (digital)...it should be the opposite...put HDR10 as a digital exclusive and leave Dolby Vision for the discs

Some buy on iTunes and that’s all they do. There’s those people as well.

I think I am in the minority here, but I'd much rather have an Aquaman that looks like the Aquaman I grew up with and not a guy who played a short lived, but iconic character on a major HBO show and who looks like a bad guy.

the Aquaman in this movie looks more like the comic book version...the version you grew up with on SuperFriends was not the correct one
