I've pointed out in probably 5 or more threads links to Norton explaining that the disagreement was normal editing (he's stated so in multiple interviews). A third party entered the room while they were debating a cut and Nikki Fink got word of it and blogged about it. The Internet blew everything out of proportion after that (the fact that anyone still believes it shows how rampant false internet reporting can get).

Tobey McGuire's deal has nothing to do with Marvel Studios as it's a FOX thing, but he actually lobbied a bit to get Spider-man 4 (when casting replacement rumors started surfacing his tune changed dramatically).

I realize we are debating hypothetical (SO NO ONE IS RIGHT AT THIS POINT), but tell me how much more an Avengers budget would be than say X-men or any of it's sequels? Fantastic Four? Did you know that The Ocean movies sequels actually had lower budgets than the originals? Why is that? The actors were all established, why didn't they hold out for more?

Also, who's the actual A-list actors that will be in Avengers? If Downey Jr is considered A-list, then he owes that to his role as Stark. Would there be no loyalty to that?

I'm just throwing some things out there (not trying to attack anyone).

If you want me to find links for the first two facts I posted, let me know, and I'll do it when I have some time.
