What? Thats why it got better week after week after week....kinda like Titanic did! It was word of mouth! Do some research first. It didnt coatail anything..the bottom line is that it got better word of mouth over a longer period. Wow....16 years those are some long coattails.

I consider Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith the two best Star Wars movies, ironically they're the two most adult ones. I'm not sure I'd buy any of them on BD though, I know I won't if they're only sold in a set and priced like they're Star Trek.

Most Adult ones? Please....Revenge was trash. Terrible Acting, spotty editing, plot holes a mile wide, a love stroy that you could feel no atttchment to. Answers to questions that were never addressed. The dumb homange to Frankie baby.....hmmm ok.

I'm ok with it as well, but what I don't like is how they did it - cut and paster Hayden's mug over Sebastian's body. If you're gonna do it, at least do it right.

I don't remember the exact reason why, but I think it was because Marquand was alittle overwhelmed on Jedi and Lucas had to step in and help out. The rumors I've read awhile back was that Lucas had at least directed the Death Star and Dagoobah scenes.

I'll try to think up that mag. It's a film magazine, about writing/screenwriting I think, but am not sure.
I found what magazine the Kershner interview was from - Shock Magazine. It was out in around april/may of 2004. I tried to find the interview but couldn't find it. This is all I could find on it, taken from the OP at theforce.net :

"I was in Borders on Sunday and checked out this magazine called Shock Cinema. Inside was an interview with Irvin Kershner, in which he talked a little about ESB, and the fact that he was asked to direct ROTJ and why he turned it down.

"He went on to say that Richard Marquand really didn't direct the movie; it was Kershner's assistant director and Lucas. It was something that was kept quiet. In fact, the actors didn't respond to Richard Marquand at all. Kershner finished it off by mentioning that the relationship between Lucas and Marquand was quite bad. "

Why? because the comic book said he didnt? I wish the movie hadnt ended his life that way, I mean come on the guy has a missle on his back and flame throwers on his wrists. He should of had his head cut off like his dad.

Boba was nothing compared to Jango.

That's one thing I hated about the movies. Boba, Jango, Darth Maul, Grievious, and Count Dooku, all had rather short roles and died too quick.

The whole Jango Fett plot was great, but would've worked wonders with a Young Boba Fett following after his father's footsteps in Episode III along side Darth Vader, before the suit. These two knuckleheads zooming around the Galaxy hunting down Jedi would've been sick!!!!! You want a Dark Movie, there you have it.

i thought THAT was the worst delivery in the movie
Actually, it was the absolute BEST delivery of the crappiest line in cinematic history.

idk if its the crappiest ever, its definitely a top 5 nominee
but with lines like ”You know what happens when a toad gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else” out there, its tough to definitively say its the worst

Lucas should be embarrassed by 4 and 5.
They were so bad that Mystery theater 3000 should've done a special on each of them.

Just got the Star Wars movies scores from RottenTomatoes, which I found interesting:

Star Wars V – The Empire Strikes Back: 97%
Star Wars IV – A New Hope: 95%
Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith: 80%
Star Wars VI – Return of the Jedi: 77%
Star Wars II – Attack of the Clones: 67%
Star Wars I – The Phantom Menace: 64%

Average score: 80%
(Note: none of the films got a rotten score)

I personally Would order them:
1) Star Wars V: Empire Strike Back
2) Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith
3) Star Wars IV: A New Hope
4) Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones
5) Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi
6) Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace

I like jabba the hutt in this film....but hated the hutts in the phantom menace.

i like bobba fett and the other bounty hunters...the scene with greedo and han solo is a classic.

the phantom menace would have been horrible if not for darth maul IMO so i have to say phantom menace was the worst.
