Default Return the Worst

A few threads with best 5 - worst 5, biggest letdowns.

This is not that thread. This is the one, the only, the worst.

Tell me which Blu-ray disc you bought that you would like to return for a full cash refund, if possible.

Only list one from you collection.

For me:

Indy 4. Gave it another shot on Blu-ray, still sucks.

Heh...

I refuse to upgrade from DVD to Blu on this title. Lucas/Spielberg perverted what was once an iconic cinema hero into an aged shadow of his former self. Part 4 was nothing more than a desperate cash grab at a franchise in its twilight years. They should have left this series alone...

I agree. I was so excited when that vintage Paramount logo came up at the start. Then my hopes were immediately dashed with that god-awful CG rodent. It all was downhill after that. If you watch the making-of docs on the Blu, Speilberg goes on and on about how he was essentially against the idea of a 4th Indy, as well as the Sci-Fi plot concept. You get that feeling that he himself hates the film and is trying to distance himself from it. Ugh, so disappointing.

I have to say without a doubt:

I didn't purchase it since it came with my 60GB PS3 back when the PS3 first came out and the only options were the 20GB & 60GB PS3 version and this movie was a free throw in with 60GB PS3 models for a limited time.

All I have to say is Sony couldn't have picked a worse blu-ray movie to throw in as a freebie to try and promote blu-ray especially at that time when blu-ray & PS3 were practically brand new to most people back in 2006. I like a lot of Will Ferrell movies but this is one of the worst movies that wasted a hour & half of my life. You couldn't pay me to re watch this movie on any format or on HBO.

Sony then didn't learn they're lesson and made another blunder when they packaged Spider-Man 3 as a freebie included with the 40GB & 80GB to promote and get people to buy the PS3 and blu-ray movies.

Well, that's what he gets for letting George Lucas write the story. BIG mistake. Look at what Lucas did to his very own franchise in Star Wars prequels.

Now, as for the one movie I'd like to get a full refund on it would have to be Hancock. This was one of a few blind buys for me and so far the only one I didn't like. I watched twice to see if it'd grow on me, but it didn't.

Indy 4 was a great movie. A great addition and continuiation of the previous films.

Probably The Dark Knight for me. Worst movie I own on Blu-Ray.

Big Fish. No noticeable difference from the DVD. Maybe that's a compliment to the DVD.

Ditto. I only buy them if I've already seen them at the theater, have rented them, or am positive I will like them. They're too darn expensive to blind buy.

It's threads like these and "overrated" themed threads that literally give me a stomach ache. I'm expecting to see truly bottom of the barrel films in the "Meet The Spartans" vein, but I see stuff on here like "Sleeping Beauty" and it truly frightens me. Came here out of curiosity but I think I'll move on to a thread where people talk about flicks they actually like, although based on a lot of these posts, that might scare the heck out me too.

Anyone is allowed to have their own opinions, just because someone does not love the movies you love doesn't make them wrong. I love a lot of movies you will probably hate and virce versa. Such is life, different taste for different people. You wish for confirmity, check on the next corner "Big Brother" is coming, you will have too conform then.

I never buy a movie before i look at a couple of reviews .
This has always been helpful to me.
Right now i have over 70 blu-movies and i have no complaints about any of them.

I just don't go in a store and grab one for the hell of it.But like i said The devils rejects was the only one i struggled with but gave it back(so what if it was twice )

No, but it does not make them right either you have people on here who have no clue what they are talking about its just fun to follow the group and sound important even though most people who slam a classic film have never seen it thats the problem.

And it does'nt make you right as well.
Remember we have all ages here and that makes a big difference.

I think The Godfather is one of the best collections you can buy It's an american classic.Do you know how many people will disagree with this.

There was actullty a thread that stated "KILL BILL SERIES VS THE GODFATHER SERIES" Now can you belive that.

Everyone has there own opinion and no ones wrong It 's like the old resturant saying "the constemer is all ways right Even when you know in your heart he's wrong

For me it would have been Sukiyaki Western Django. It's the reason I will never blind buy again. I used to blind buy with SD-DVD and found a few good ones that way. I've only blind bought 4 Blu-rays and every one of them was a big stink-fest.

Sukiyaki was terrible, just absolutely dreadful. It's one of the few movies I've ever forced myself to watch only because I spent money on it. I even tried to return it to Best Buy, but they wouldn't take it. So I sold it to Hastings as a used blu-ray and got like $8 for it. That's less than half what I paid.
