I believe i have figured out my problem (again, i will not know for sure until my bulb is replaced).

I have HDMI doing both my picture and sound settings on my PS3. I am guessing that i should instead do the Optical cord for sound and manually so i can check off DTS.

Now i have another question. What is the deal with PCM and how do i know if i can do it? I'm not sure, but i think the Optical cord cannot do PCM 5.1 on the PS3.
