One would think that they are a prime market for this kind of release if Disney/Marvel feel it's been worthwhile to keep giving them discs all this time while shutting out the rest of the world unless you are willing to import (or buy from Amazon which is still technically buying an import). But I also realize that this disc would not likely be language-friendly for them either unless RSM dropped a Japanese subtitle track on there, which might not be a bad idea. It just might be something to consider in order to tap into another potential country where ordering could be significant.
Looking at Hotel Transylvania 3 and Jumanji The Next Level, they just copied across the subtitles from the 2D disc. Below are the subtitles on the Australian 2D release of No way Home. This would be my guess as to what subtitles will be on the 3D version. The odd thing is no Spanish. Would have thought that would have been a no brainer for sure to be on there. Not on HT3 or Jumanji either. Dolittle only has English subtitles, which again is all that is on the 2D Australian copy of Dolittle. So at least the Sony ones are more global in nature.

I just preordered along with Boss Baby 2 3D and am number 2125. Seems like they've been doing well so far considering it sounds like no one from Europe has ordered as of yet.

Pre-ordered. I went ahead and added the other Spider-Man 4K/3D combo packs as well so I'd finally have the full set of 4K+3D.

We didn't get IMAX scenes on the last one, so the precedent for Sony seems to be "no IMAX" for home 3D (or 2D BD/4K).

Sony is pimping out the IMAX versions to upsell some of their TVs. Apparently it's available exclusively through their "Bravia Core" app.

It would be nice if it played in every player (as it should) but I wouldn't count on it.

Could those numbers be a increment based per day of buyers from their website and not by individual item?

I was just reviewing the earlier posts which were mostly gloom and doom about this ever getting a 3D release. So more than just being a real surprise, it is also giving us real hope about more releases in the future at least through random space.

Though there are 3D titles that have not made it to bluray, this particular one I believe shows we are not at the end of the trail.

Unlikely. 3:26 PM in Phoenix, AZ converts to 8:26 AM in Sydney, Australia. I find it hard to believe that 1,686 orders were placed before mine between midnight and 8:26 AM Sydney time.

For reference, I also ordered Dolittle 3D from them on February 28. That order number is 1543.

Yes, but you are forgetting they don't sell just on their website, maybe their backoffice counts the Amazon sells too. 8 hours can do over 1600 sells worldwide without effort... the only effort is theirs to fulfill the orders and deliver them.

No, the Amazon orders are being processed and fulfilled by Amazon. RSM's systems have nothing to do with Amazon orders. Amazon processes the payment. Amazon packages the items. Amazon delivers the items. I don't see any correlation between the order numbers on RandomSpaceMedia.com and Amazon.

Believe what you want, but RSM is a very small distributor and it is unlikely that they are receiving thousands of orders on their website each day. I'm also not sure why we are spending so much time discussing it. The fact is that they have already received hundreds of pre-orders for No Way Home 3D and this will almost certainly be RSM's biggest, most popular release yet.

Maybe someone who orders this today can post their order number here. If today's order numbers are in the 2000s, then I think it's pretty safe to say that the order numbers are cumulative and do not reset each day.

Order 2066 11.30pm PST.

Although like I said, this is a silly topic to discuss and I’m sure if the Random Space owner was reading this they’d be chuckling. RSM wouldn’t bother supplying us this if there was no demand. And seeming as I’m sure RSM’s own website sales are a fraction of their sales made on foreign Amazon sites and also distributing to other vendors just in Australia where they are based, you really can’t gauge much at all from their website sales.

Us 3D lovers aren’t some secret ‘silent majority’ like some here would prefer to believe, but we also aren’t such an irrelevant niche that a small label like Random Space wouldn’t bother making releases just for us, either. I imagine this release will be the biggest money maker in RSM’s history.
