Thumbs down Question about TV.
I have a 42" Phillips 1080p LCD 42PFL3704D/F7 and today while watching "Last House On The Left" I had too much grain on screen, but what really bothered me was this "flashing" effect I kept seeing throughout the entire flick. I had a similar distraction with "Miss March".

Now there is no way this can be normal and I am no HD expert.
I have not had my TV professionally calibrated.

So is "calibration" a must, or does the initial TV set-up pretty much does it?
