They added a Dinosaur fossils discovery of bones to the game. I'll have to test that out. I still play it in very short bursts before my interest fades in about 10 to 15 minutes, so there is still some game value.

And as you said, the PSVR version was a welcome idea. It does suffer less items onscreen, but nothing as bad as Hitman 3 on PSVR1. That game was so scaled back that the shelf 3 meters away looks empty. Then you walk within 2 meters and suddenly, lots of bottles appear out of thin air onto the shelf. Then disappear if you walk back a step. This game in VR, not nearly as bad thankfully.
