I did find an outpost on a planet that has ladders on it and stairs, so that was different at least.

Have you tried Creative Mode? I like it but there is no challenge to it. I should probably go back to normal mode and test that out again. I had a hundred of hours progress in Normal mode, and then Hello Games put out a major revision to NMS which automatically erased all of my progress, back in 2018 I think. I'm sure that put a damper on my enthusiasm after that.

No I have not tried creator mode yet. Was just getting back into things, had not played the game since last year. I am going to explore all the new stuff. It is prety weird that this game will be 10 years old next year.
