I don't know what the problem is. I have my PS3 hooked up to my TV through HDMI cable and surround sound through digital audio cable. The PS3 screen comes up fine, but when I try to watch a movie, you know when the TV goes black and then the movie starts, well my tv screen turns purple. And the movie has a purple haze over the whole image. MY tv automatically finds a HDMI source so if I unplug the HDMI and plug it into another HDMI input the image is fine, but if I where to just unplug then plug it back into the same HDMI port its still purple. Does anyone have any idea why this happens? Also interestingly enough, when I change movies the problem starts over again and I just put the cable into the "1st" port the cable was in and fine again? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Is this the PS3, TV, HDMI cable? what is this?
