Am I the only one out there that actually really cares about whether games support native 720p vs 1080i/p?
Am I the only one that feels little less enthus'd when reading game specs as only supporting 720p or hearing its actually sub720? In this age of high definition, I have noticed the following. Gamers do not care about higher resolutions than their television. Top of the pyramid: People with 1080p displays Middle top: People with 1080i displays Middle bottom: People with 720p displays Bottom: People running 480p/i displays Being at the top stinks, especially with games that spoil you like WipEout / Monsters / Eden / Stardust / Sigma / GTP. It blows knowing native 1080p resolutions will be pretty much ignored by cross-platform developers in this generation. |
