new speaker wiring

hey guys i recently purchased polk monitor 70s, cs2, monitor 30s and they are going to getting installed over the next couple of weeks. i still need to purchase a tv stand and also a receiver (prolly a yamaha 665) i am finishing my basement and am almost finished studding walls. i need your opinions on which way would be better to wire them up.

the way that i see it i have 2 options:

1. running from the receiver to wall plates, then from the wall plates to other wall plates and then to the speakers. meaning that i would basically need to have 50 banana plugs to wire up a 5.1 system.

2. running from the receiver to passthroughs all the way to the speakers. meaning only needing 20 banana plugs to wire up a 5.1 system.

i read the other thread on people's opinions on wall plates vs staight hookups, but didnt really see a clear winner. i dont really have an opinion on which i should use, but want to make sure that i do it the best and cleanest way which out losing any sound quality. my wife would kill me if i spent all this money on the basement and not have it sounds awesome.
