I was surprised too. When I started looking at Marantz, they were just about to unveil the SR6004. I was very surprised they hadn't updated the higher models since the SRX002 models. Nothing against Denon, but I decided to go with a Pioneer Elite SC-25. I'll be ordering it in about 3 weeks (still saving up). It's the ICE amps used in some of the Elites that really drew me to this line of receivers. You should check them out. Even if you still end up going with a Denon, IMO it's always a good idea to check out all the options out there before you buy to make sure you're getting what you want.
