Default SONY SXRD 4K PROJECTOR WITH 8.8 MILLION PIXELS (4096 x 2160)

For the consumer market 1080P HDTV BLU-RAY media and 1080P displays most likely will be the highest quality format available for purchase for around 10 years. Perhaps in 8-10 years we could start seeing announcements for consumer 4K projectors and a coming 4K optical format with a 1TB or more of storage.
Here are a couple of brochures for the Sony SXRD 4K projectors with 8.8 million pixels. These projectors are targeted for the professional Cinema and professional computer graphics market. These SXRD have a resolution of 4096 X 2160 which is much better then 1080P. One can only dream that perhaps in the far future a affordable consumer version might be made. In 10 years we might start up converting old 1080P BLU-RAY discs to 4K resolutions until a 4K format is launched.
