Default My Home Theater

I posted some pictures of my recent finished basement, where I have a front projection and surround setup, plus a wet bar and a game area. Still not totally completed yet, but it's been fun for my family and friends.

Thanks.

Very cool set up! Have you ever thought of gutting the tower and putting the components into an HTPC case? It would blend in better with th rest of your gear.

Default Patience paid off!

Gentlemen, you know how I said I had no major plans this year...well I lied heh... I am replacing my front soundstage once again (for good this time, i swear it!)

On the way, as we speak I have 2 B&W 804's (rosenut) on route with an ETA of 1 week. The HTM3 (Lou, convinced me to get this huge bad boy) Will be arriving in about 1 month or so...

I'll update pics once they arrive...

Yah me too! I am on vacation right now so I am hoping they arrive before end of week so I can enjoy them over next weekend and break them in etc...the center channel HTM3 will not make it's way home atleast for another month or so, I am ok with this though.

I hope they get there before next weekend so you have time to play & get pics up for us

Sorry you have to wait on the center channel , But I am sure the wait will be well worth it when you get it .

Congrats, Eddie.

Hope I get a PM of the new bad boys BEFORE you update your gallery.

You are going to love them. I'll be interested in hearing your opinion from going from the 700 series to the 800 series.

Will you have both for a while so you can do a little A/B comparison?

Really awesome!

Just a couple of comments. There is too much visible purple wall behind the screen, you should have gone bigger. I'm jealous.

Cool

I am perrrrty excited....I cannot wait to listen to the same albums and do a comparison.

I spent countless hours with the 700's, their detail, volume, imaging..blah blah blah are etched in my head, I could pull those from a line up blind folded...

The 704s were put up for adoption and they are leaving me on Tuesday..the 804's are arriving ..hopefully Friday......I almost feel like it's a super hot foreign exchange student is coming to stay with us....LOL.......except that it's no rules against making love to the 804's!!! ...

Shopping with the wife.

I get to shop next month. Valab Speaker wires will be ordered around the 5th of Feb (payday).

Not sure how long they will take since I am having custom lengths made. I may also have Rich burn them in for me. He offered to do it in the past, but I'm not sure what his schedule has been with moving and his own new cables. I think he said it takes at least 4 days per cable.

I'l get with him closer to the time frame of actually purchasing them.

Currently, I'm having a "sleep over" with my boys. They are on the floor with the air mattress and I am on the couch catching up on you guys and jamming to some tunes with my new headphones which Santa brought me.

Be careful with that. You don't want to scar your daughter.

Hey Lou,

Good to hear about the cabling! You did an excellent job with the DIY that JohK posted, still an awesome tutorial, kudos to JohK

I had a pretty good experience with the Canadian bi-wires (Unity's) I was a little conerned how they would perform with my speakers but I was pleasantly surprised, good tonal and bass control, it was subtle but definitely there....

Hah, can you imagine my wife walks downstairs and i'm doing the dog/leg thing lol...

All this buying talk is making Blue fidget, hes getting the chills & shakes..upgratetitis...its coming for you Blue!!

Those are no joke eh....do you have a link? will these blend well with your current configuration?

I'm thinking of ordering these T anchors for the 804's, really need the stable foot print...

I have a pair of VALAB/King Cable speaker cables and silver IC's. They are a fantastic buy!
