During phase one of the fight after you deplete his health low enough to start struggling with him with the grappling (hitting o) you stab him once, but don't stab him again. You are awarded with tons of orbs and he throws you off so it doesnt begin phase two of the fight (saving family)

Keep doing that over and over and you can max out all your stuff.

heres a good explanation of the ares orb trick, youll have to do it several times to get the orbs to upgrade all the way

I did this like 6 times and then finally ACCIDENTALLY pressed the correct button to finish him off, and it gave me 10,000.

which after maxing out my weapons it left me with 8,742 red orbs.

for the max out trophy I just got it on my second run together with the speed run trophy, set difficulty on easy and used the experience costume/armor

Just completed GOW2, only missing the Eye Sore and Challenge of the Titans trophy. I'll have to wrap those two up tomorrow. After reading everyone's troubles with the BB3 trophy, I saved just before the Kraken in case it glitched. Luckily though, no problems.

I did have issues with freezing though, twice at the lava minotaur, and twice outside the fates where you fight a couple cyclops. The disc was flawless, so idk what's going on. I did a search and it seems to be somewhat widespread, but most people had issues at the very beginning. Who knows.....

I platinumed GoW yesterday, and have about 64 percent of the trophies for GoW2. I can't seem to beat challenge 4 on Challenge of the Titans. It's the one where you must keep this person alive, while also moving him to the ever changing circles. Soooo frustrating, I cracked my controller.

i think i had a little bit of clipping here and there, but no real freezing, and the part right outside the palace of the fates where you fight the two cyclops is where i did the collect 20 eyes trophy, the riders just keep calling more and more until you kill the rider

Well, first things first: upgrade your Blade of Olympus (you should have well over 9000 orbs by now) to level 2. Then just make sure you always have time distortion activated.

Also, pay attention to the circle under the translator, since it does move around. You'll definitely want to carry him around into those, or you won't be able to complete the challenge.

i started challenge 4 last night... i for the life of me cant complete 8 and 10 on gow1s challenges...

I've been watching help videos on Youtube and they seem much easier than what they actually are like haha. I'm still on this Challenge as well, but i haven't tried Youtube's strategy yet.

You should be using a lot of magic. Like, a lot. Whenever an enemy shows up that you know will drop blue orbs, spam that Cronos's Rage. You should also bail from any combos you happen to be doing to use time stop (L1+R1), and you should use Rage of the Titans whenever a cyclops shows up.

And, of course, use Blade of Olympus as your primary weapon because it's much stronger than anything else. DO NOT use brutal kills (grab while enemy is low on life) unless you're looking to get blue or green orbs.

Me to I have NEVER been this close to breaking my controller! Worst part is I was hitting buttons to setup my next combo and somehow they were the perfect buttons to quit out of the challenge. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING I HAVE TO DO THAT S*** AGAIN!!!!
